Alessandro Oteri, when shoes love women and the environment
An extraordinary testimony to Italian talent, where competence, creativity, passion and an extraordinary flair for beauty are combined without forgetting respect for the environment
Elegance, sensuality, harmony, sinuosity, femininity, seduction; in a word, class. These are the sensations that one feels when observing the décolleté of Alessandro Oteri, a talented and refined designer of women’s shoes. It is the contemporaneity in the individuality, iconic creations of elegant grace that are far from vulgar; they are products that enhance the feminine charm for a synergistic relationship and absolute aesthetic harmony. Any woman who wears Alessandro’s décolleté does it as if they had always been hers, conceived, designed and created just for her, with a unique complicity and feeling. Alessandro is designer and stylist at the same time, for complete creative balance, with a strong personality: originally from Liguria, born in Chiavari, he has scientific and analytical bases that have never compromised his always present creative vein. With his passion for excellence in footwear craftsmanship, looking on in the town of Vigevano he inherited class, taste and ability; it was the end of the 90s when he began a professional career as a stylist and designer that led him, over time, to become a real glamor icon of the great Made in Italy fashion. Beginning with a project of tailor-made shoes for the ladies of the Milanese salons, in 2004 the Alessandro Oteri brand came to life with its first model, with simple, elegant lines, in tune with the desires and expectations of the taste of the time. Collection after collection, the brand became more and more important, featuring in the most “in” shop windows around the world and winning over the specialized press and international celebrities. Only two years passed before the first atelier was inaugurated: and it couldn’t have been anywhere but in the famous Via Montenapoleone, the heart of Milan’s luxury shopping. This brings us almost to the present day: in 2019 Alessandro Oteri launched a new project, proposing the décolleté as the queen of his collection, for a digital world that marries the real and physical one, thanks to the new e-commerce site and direct sales, for an informal, familiar and friendly relationship with his customers, in his refined house-atelier, located in the Milanese fashion district. The reasons for his growing and constant success and appreciation are many, important, and have led to prizes and recognition for a distinctiveness of style and class: if on the one hand Alessandro has a strong entrepreneurial and communicative vocation, on the other the Ligurian designer and stylist has been able to create a personal, seductive and elegant identity for his brand, often anticipating the new trends of contemporary fashion. It is a family feeling that evokes Liguria and its sea through the deep blue, recalling the Portofino promontory in the sinuous profile of his creations; these are distinctive elements that are always present in his collections. Shoes for ladies that convey culture and artisanal excellence, with a unique mélange between ancient, modern and contemporary: they are discovery, rediscovery and research, eco-designed with a focus on the environment, when you think that 70 percent of each single model is eco-friendly. Quality and awareness that have led Alessandro to create and work alone, in order to choose partners and collaborators, to experience first-hand the characteristics and quality of the materials, and monitor every moment of the production cycle; from the idea to the finished product, also thanks to the support of the best artisan excellence in footwear manufacturing capital, Parabiago. If his inspiring muses are Salvatore Ferragamo, Roger Vivier and Manolo Blahnik, experiences and emotions, nature and colors and his homeland are constantly present, with the strong desire to convey them in such a way that whoever wears his shoes can feel as though they are her own. Alessandro’s desire is to make those who wear his creations feel good about themselves, adding strength and character to a seduction that is whispered and subtle but never vulgar; it is a tribute to femininity through exclusivity and identity; it is quality, not quantity. Stylists and designers put his décolleté in every woman’s wardrobe, the shoe that everyone agrees on more than any other, regardless of lifestyle, status, age and culture. It is the redefinition of luxury, never shouted, which comes back to being exclusive not because of cost but because of availability, for a perfect union of the best of Made in Italy in creativity, design, class and quality.
